Annette Scholten and Nanke Flach present their first CD, ‘Angelo’.
The CD consists of classical music for lame sonore and piano. The lame sonore is a less known musical instrument, related to the musical saw. Some pieces were written originally for other instruments or voice, but suit the lame sonore very well. Two other compositions were written specifically for this combination by Dutch composers Hans Bakker and Tjalling Wijnstra. Together, the compositions form a diverse and fascinating CD.
